ASDA would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who has supported Everyman over the years.

Last year alone ASDA raised over £195,000 for Everyman, which helped to fund research at the Everyman Centre, the only dedicated male cancer research centre in Europe.

Thanks to your support, Everyman scientists can continue their life-saving work, which ultimately aims to cross out male cancer, making a difference to the lives of the 34,000 men diagnosed with either prostate or testicular cancer each year.

There are a range of research projects taking place at the centre investigating the causes of testicular and prostate cancer, along with better methods of diagnosis and treatment.

Prostate cancer specialists are looking into what causes the cancer, and ways of developing a more effective test to diagnose it. This could ultimately prevent thousands of men from undergoing unnecessary surgery.

A team of testicular cancer specialists are also investigating families with a history of the disease to research the family link and discover genetic causes.
