34,000 men are diagnosed with prostate or testicular cancer each year
Prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK and is the most common cancer in men, with over 32,000 diagnosed each year. Testicular cancer affects 2,000 a year and is the most common cancer amongst young men 15-45 years old.
In a recent survey carried out by The Institute of Cancer Research, almost two thirds (60%) of men still didn't know the signs and symptoms of prostate cancer and over a third (37%) of men didn't know the symptoms of testicular cancer.
However, if caught early enough, testicular cancer has a 99% cure rate. So it is crucial that this traditionally taboo topic is something that every man is made aware of.
Every year, with your help, we raise vital funds to support The Everyman Campaign - helping people affected by cancer and supporting research for better diagnosis and treatments.
We have some fantastic products and activities planned for this year – starting off with donations from some of our Father's Day range, so make a difference and get involved today.
Everyman is a campaign run by The Institute of Cancer Research.
Its aim is to help everyone recognise the tell-tale signs of prostate and testicular cancer and to raise money for vital research.
Male cancer affects men of all ages - fathers, husbands, sons, brothers and friends, and touches many lives.
The money raised through ASDA for The Everyman Campaign helps to fund life-saving research into testicular and prostate cancer.
